Privacy Policy
One-line summary
Nothing you type in FlowMen — names, records, reasons, notes, dates — leaves your device. We collect only anonymous usage data (which screens were opened, which buttons were tapped) to understand how the app is used and fix crashes. No personal identification.
Who we are
FlowMen is an app developed by Fabiano Gadenz (NewPrompt) and distributed for free on the App Store and Google Play. This document describes exactly what is (and is not) collected when you use the app.
What we collect
Anonymous usage data (via Amplitude)
To understand how the app is used and prioritize improvements, we log aggregated events without personal identification:
- Navigation events — which screens you visit, in what order, for how long.
- Feature actions — e.g. "record saved", "partner created", "discreet mode enabled". We never log what you typed — only that the action happened.
- Technical context — app version, OS version (e.g. "iOS 17.5"), language, device make/model.
- Anonymous device identifier — random UUID generated on first launch, stored only on your device. Distinguishes new vs returning user without linking to identity.
Crash reports (via Sentry)
When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, we send a technical report with:
- Error type + stack trace
- App version, OS, platform
- Breadcrumbs — sequence of screens/actions before the error
Reports pass through an automatic scrubber that removes text values (names, notes, reasons) before leaving the device.
Internal feedback channel
The app provides a form under Settings → About → "Report a problem" where you can describe issues or suggestions.
When you submit it, we collect:
- The text you write (required)
- Your email, only if you choose to fill it in
-
The app's pseudonymous identifier (
device_id, a local UUID — does not identify you) - Anonymous technical data (app version, platform, device type)
This data is processed by Sentry (our processor, located in the U.S.) exclusively for bug triage and user response. Sentry's default retention: 90 days.
If you don't fill in your email, the message remains unlinked to your identity.
What we do NOT collect
Under no circumstances:
- Name, email, phone, or any contact info.
- Your location.
- IDFA, Advertising ID, or any identifier linked to your profile outside the app.
- Partner name, nickname, or color.
- Records (yes/no, rating, tags, reason, note).
- Special dates (birthday, anniversary, custom).
- Menstrual cycle data.
- PIN or biometric data.
- Export backup content.
All of this stays exclusively on your device's internal
storage in the app's private sandbox (GetStorage).
Other apps, the OS, and we (the developers) have no access. Uninstall =
all gone.

| Permission | Purpose | Required? |

| Receive "boot completed" (Android) | Re-schedule local reminders after reboot | No |
Internet connection
FlowMen makes network requests in these cases:
- Sending anonymous usage events to Amplitude (
api2.amplitude.com) - Sending crash reports to Sentry (
*.ingest.sentry.io) - Downloading Manrope font via Google Fonts on first run (cached after)
None of these carry content you typed. If offline, the app works — events queue locally.
Backup export
"Export data" (Settings → Export data) generates a text blob with your local data and places it on the clipboard. You decide where to send. The blob never passes through our servers.
Cookies and trackers
Native iOS/Android app — no web components, no cookies, no third-party trackers besides those listed above.
Children's privacy
Not directed at children under 12. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)
Since collected data is not linked to personal identity, we can't find or delete "this specific user's data" on request — that connection doesn't exist. What you can do:
- Delete all local data: Settings → Danger zone → Delete all data, or uninstall (includes the anonymous ID).
- Request info: email fabianomgadenz@gmail.com.
- Future opt-out: toggle to disable event collection under evaluation.
